Postcode win for lucky Lochgelly

THREE lucky players from Lochgelly have enjoyed a weekend like no other.
Neighbours Evelyn Cameron and Sarah Haldane, and a third anonymous player, all won big together when their postcode, KY5 8AW, was drawn in the weekend's Saturday Street Prize.
Each winning £10,000 per ticket, Evelyn and Sarah are still struggling to comprehend their wins! Rugby legend and People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Scott Quinnell was in the town to deliver the winning cheques.
Evelyn Cameron (70) was in complete shock when she opened the door. Playing with two tickets, the lucky grandmother scooped £20,000.
"I can't believe it, it's the most wonderful news ever," said Evelyn. "My sister and brother both live in Canada, so I'm sure the money will be spent on a visit to see them. And my central heating needs replacing - I've been saving for a while, so this is perfect."
The second lucky winner, Sarah Haldane, was sadly at work and unable to accept her £10,000 winning cheque from Scott. But on hearing the fantastic news over the phone, she was thrilled, "I'm hoping to whisk my husband off to Austria for a lovely break, something I've dreamt of doing for a long time."
Now with her winnings, Sarah can make her dream come true and have a magical weekend away together. Yet it's not just Sarah whose dreams are coming true. Over £130,000 has already been donated to great causes across the Fife region through the People's Postcode Trust. Supported entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery, the grant giving body is creating a real impact to grass roots projects.
Ambassador Scott said, "As well as winning big prizes themselves, these winners have supported some amazing charities. A massive £16.7 million has been awarded to charities all across Great Britain to date, with all the money raised by players in Scotland, being awarded to charities in Scotland."
The Ecology Centre is one local Fife project to have benefitted from the People's Postcode Trust, winning over £50,000 from the Dream Fund. Looking to fund inspiring and innovative projects across Scotland, the Dream Fund awarded funding to the Ecology Centre to support their Mobile Outdoor Classroom.
The project aims to educate children about climate change and how simple actions can make a huge difference to our planet.
A third lucky Lochgelly winner, who wished to remain anonymous, also scooped £10,000.
